This is now the only vehicle access to Ringwood High Street and Market Place - a single lane, handling two way traffic, with the help of two alternating traffic lights.. Visitors in cars, delivery vans and emergency services vehicles will all have to navigate this extraordinary traffic arrangement until someone reopens the roundabout. Even then, drivers will have to face two-way traffic, along a narrow stretch of the Christchurch Road if they wish to reach the High Street or the Market Place. Is this really how we want to welcome visitors? Is this a good way to support our local shops?
